Service Learning Ideas

For service learning we can have a carnival at a city wide park. We can invite a few middle schools and the money we raise we can give it to a  shelter. To get ready for our carnival we will visit the middle schools and give them a presentation to show the things that will be offered at the carnival to make them want to come.

We can also go to a nursing home. While we're there we can some quality time with the patients, we can read to them, play games and watch movies with them. We can visit the nursing homes for an hour a day for 3 weeks.

Another idea is we can choose a neighborhood recreation center to fix up. We can clean it up and then have a workshop to make poster things to make the building more welcoming. We can get all the supplies and clean up for an hour a day for 3 weeks

We can go around the city and have a stop the violence workshop. We can prepare for an hour a day and every week we pick a place to have the workshop.

We can have a big fashion show at the Constitution Center other high schools and the money we raise for admission we can donate to a charity to help fight cancers or something like that.
