Bloom's Taxonomy

What did Bigger think of himself?
Bigger is an African American male growing up in an era in time when a black man thought that the only way to survive was the wrong way. Bigger was a man not in search for a future but determined to be a failure in life. He had the mentally that he was going to be another statistic that African Americans are judge by and nothing more.

What was the purpose of Bigger & the rat incident?
The purpose for this incident was to show the so called strength that Bigger thought he had. Yes he did successfully kill the rat but failed to gain the thing he wanted most and that was respect from his mother. She taunted him for his lack of responsibility which is being the man of the one roomed shack they called a home. Also this incident shows the type of class that Bigger resided in.

What factor of this chapter would you change?
The factor I would change if I could is have the story take place in a more fast pace & richer environment. The reason I would change the setting because if Bigger would have seen all the things the people had that he couldn't and would do anything to get them it would have made for a more interesting events.

How was Bigger Thomas from Native Son similar to Jim from Huckleberry Finn?
They both were examples of what people thought of African Americans. Both of them made an impact on what minorities thought of they were like.

Can you compose a song about Native Son?Who would sing it?What would be the message behind it?

Yes you can compose a song about Native Son. People today do it all the time with the same issues that happened in the story. I think that Kayne West would be the singer of the song. I choose Kayne West because he is always turning a negative incident into a positive one. His music always sends a positive message. I think that he would be able to connect with the message that Richard Wright was trying to get across. The message would be that we need to get our act together as a culture. We need to try harder as a minority to be more successful in life and to stop all the violence, murders, sexual abuse, rape and drug & alcohol abuse.

Hook for the song:
"We are judged as one. We live by the gun. We die to try to be rich. Thinking that money will fix everything but no. We have to grow to show that we are important as a culture and make the world glow"

Do you think that Bigger acted in an adolescent manager?
I think that Bigger acted as a child. He was so destine to prove his strength to his friends but honestly he was just a scared and lost little boy deep down inside. He was out in the world trying to be something that he wasn't. To me that seem to be a coward. He wanted to be big and bad and wear the pants around town but couldn't uphold the requirements to do so. Bigger thought that he was so big until he was getting interviewed by a white man for a job and he was so shook. I thought that Mr. BIG & MIGHTY could handle a job interview but that goes to show the real BIGGER THOMAS a coward.
